Donations to the trust are eligible for deduction under section 80G as per Income Tax, Order No. F. No. CIT-I/ JBP/ Tech/ 80G/ 23/ 10-11 dated 22/12/2010 sanctioned by Commissioner of Income Tax-I, Central Revenue Building, Napier Town, Jabalpur (M.P.).
The Trust accepts donation and disburses the same to public under various heads viz-
- Fees for needy and meritorious students.
- Old age pension.
- Free medical camps organized by the Trust as joint venture with Rotary Club of Jabalpur "Sanskardhani".
- Distribution of various Aurvedic Medicines to needy persons.
- Organizing various religious and spiritual programmes.
Late Shri ML Sood Memorial Scholarships
“M. L. Sood Memorial Scholarship”
“M. L. Sood Memorial Scholarship” is awarded by the Trust to regular students of Bachelor of Engineering in the memory of Late Shri M. L. Sood who was the Chief Engineer and Consultant in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The family members of Late Shri M. L. Sood have contributed generously to the Mahakoushal Shaheed Smarak Trust (Donee Trust) which manages all the accounts & activities of the scholarship. This scholarship had been started from 2010 and presently, 12 such scholarships, every year, are distributed to the students as per the ‘Guidelines of the Scholarship’ amounting to Rs. 25,000/- each, to four selected students for three consecutive years. The selection of engineering students for this scholarship is made amongst the applicant of BE 2nd year students from four reputed engineering colleges by a high level selection committee of Professors of these colleges. In granting these Scholarships the children belonging to any of the category - Widow; Teacher; Farmer; Freedom Fighter; physically challenged candidate and girl candidate are given preference.
